Breaking: APC appoints Yilwatda Nentawe as substantive national chairman

In a major leadership shift, the National Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has named the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development, Yilwatda Nentawe, as the substantive national chairman of the ruling party.

The announcement was made during the party’s 14th NEC meeting, currently underway at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja.

Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Hope Uzodimma, moved the motion for Nentawe’s appointment, which was promptly seconded by Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas.

Prof Nentawe was immediately sworn in following the motion’s adoption.
