The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published the personal particulars of candidates contesting the 2027 presidential and National Assembly elections.
The publication, carried out on Saturday at INEC offices across the country, is in line with the commission’s revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections.
Among those listed are President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who will contest with Vice President Kashim Shettima as his running mate; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), paired with former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi; and Peter Obi of the National Democratic Coalition (NDC), with former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as his running mate.
Other presidential candidates whose particulars were displayed include Sandy Onor (PDP), Omoyele Sowore (AAC), Adewole Adebayo (SDP), Chibuzo Okereke (LP), Mohammed Dikwa (NNPP), Abbas-Bin Aliyu (ADP), Fredrick Okwori (National Democratic Congress), and Zugwai Chukwu (YPP), alongside their respective running mates.
INEC also displayed the particulars of candidates contesting the Senate and House of Representatives elections.
The commission said the publication allows members of the public and political stakeholders to inspect the credentials of candidates and file any valid claims or objections in accordance with the Electoral Act.
