Faleke leads delegation to buy APC presidential primary election forms for Tinubu

A member of the House of Representatives, James Faleke, has obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Faleke, who represents Ikeja Federal Constituency, was presented with the forms on Tuesday in Abuja by the APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, who also declared the nomination process open.

The lawmaker reportedly paid N100 million for the forms, signaling the formal commencement of Tinubu’s re-election bid. Faleke is also known as the founder of the Tinubu Support Groups.

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the presidential and National Assembly elections for January 16, 2027, while governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections will hold on February 6, 2027.

INEC further announced that party primaries, including the resolution of disputes, are to take place between April 23 and May 30, 2026.

Campaigns for presidential and National Assembly elections are expected to commence on August 19, 2026, while governorship and state assembly campaigns will begin on September 9, 2026.
