The All Progressives Congress in Lagos State has dismissed as false a report alleging that its delegates were stranded due to non-release of mobilisation funds, accusing Sahara Reporters of spreading misinformation.

In a statement issued on March 28, 2026, the party’s spokesperson, Seye Oladejo, said all accredited delegates from Lagos were transported to Abuja in an orderly and coordinated manner, contrary to the claims.

Oladejo noted that arrangements were made to ensure the comfort of the delegates throughout their journey, adding that adequate accommodation was also provided upon arrival. He said the report suggesting otherwise was “sensational” and untrue.

The party further clarified that neither the Lagos State Government nor Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is responsible for funding party activities, stressing that the APC independently handles its logistics and finances through its internal structures.

According to the statement, attributing party operations to the state government is misleading and aimed at confusing the public.

The Lagos APC also accused the publisher of the report of promoting unverified claims, alleging a pattern of misinformation intended to mislead the public. It urged Nigerians to scrutinise sources of information and rely on credible reports.

The party reaffirmed its commitment to unity and continued support for governance in Lagos State and Nigeria.
