The Lagos State Government has announced the resumption of its monthly environmental sanitation exercise, starting on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
According to the Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, the exercise will hold on the last Saturday of every month between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
The relaunch was symbolically flagged off at Idi-Oro in Mushin. Residents have been urged to actively participate by cleaning their surroundings, clearing drainage channels, and disposing of waste properly.
Wahab stressed that maintaining a clean environment is a shared responsibility essential for public health and flood prevention, adding that compliance will be strictly enforced by the state government.
