A loaded truck overturned on Kara Bridge inward OPIC along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Saturday night, causing a major traffic disruption after its contents spilled onto the roadway.
The incident, which occurred around 10:09 p.m., obstructed traffic heading toward the AP Filling Station, leaving motorists stranded in a growing queue.
Police officers were immediately deployed to the scene to manage traffic and ensure safety, while authorities awaited the arrival of another truck to transload the fallen cargo and clear the road.
The latest incident comes less than 24 hours after multiple crashes around the Kara Bridge corridor claimed one life and triggered hours of severe gridlock on Friday, affecting commuters travelling between Lagos and Ogun states.
Motorists have been advised to exercise patience, drive cautiously, and consider alternative routes while recovery efforts continue.
