The rewards were presented during the 2025 Mr Governor’s Luncheon with Outstanding Officers of the Lagos State Public Service, held at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa, Ikeja. The beneficiaries were drawn from Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), as well as Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).

In the senior category, five of the 99 awardees emerged winners of brand new cars through a raffle draw, while the remaining 94 received N1 million each. In the junior category, five outstanding officers were awarded N5 million each, while 73 others received N500,000 each.

He further approved a N10 million donation to staff of the office for their contribution to projecting Lagos on the national and global stage.

Speaking at the event, the governor urged public servants to remain diligent, consistent and committed to excellence in the discharge of their duties, assuring them that hard work and dedication would always be recognised.

He said the recognition of outstanding officers was a deliberate policy of his administration to reward excellence and encourage consistency in service delivery, stressing that excellence must be sustained over time.

Governor Sanwo-Olu added that the achievements recorded across the state were the result of collective effort, noting that public service remains central to effective governance and development.

Earlier, the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr Bode Agoro, disclosed that the 177 awardees in both junior and senior categories were selected through a rigorous and transparent process from 312 nominations submitted by various MDAs.
